Castor oil
It irritates the intestinal receptors and reflexively strengthens its peristalsis. Under the influence of castor oil, the absorption of electrolytes and water in the intestinal walls is stopped, the secretion of water is maintained and the volume of the contents of the intestines increases. This reinforces his motility and accelerates the process of bowel emptying. The laxative effect appears 2-6 hours after administration.
Castor oil is unique among fats and oils because it is the only source of fatty acids with an 18-carbon hydroxyl group and one double bond. It contains about 87% ricinoleic acid and palmitic, oleic, and linoleic acids, which are very well absorbed from the skin surface and contribute to the nutrition of hair roots, strengthening, and hair growth.
